In 2020, I reported and hosted a seven-part narrative podcast about Adam Neumann and WeWork. Those episodes form the first season of Foundering, a podcast series from the journalists at Bloomberg Technology. Each season of Foundering brings listeners inside a different high-stakes drama from the tech industry. (Seasons two through four use different hosts and tell the stories of TikTok, Amazon, and John McAfee. Shawn Wen is Foundering's brilliant executive producer for all seasons; we wrote the scripts together and she's the reason the show sounds so good.)

For our work on the WeWork podcast season, Shawn and I were named as finalists for the Livingston Award and won first place in the SABEW Best in Business audio category.
In 2024, I reported and hosted another season of Foundering, and teamed up with Shawn again. This time, for season five, the podcast chronicled the founding and abrupt coup attempt at OpenAI. The season is also an in-depth character study of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, one of the most powerful people in Silicon Valley today and someone we conclude is "slippery" -- whose word can't always be trusted.
